Q: How do I book?

A: Send us an email at info@visitdctours.com. All requests will be handled individually by one of our managers to ensure you have personal touch to your tour. No form to fill out, just let is know what you want and we’ll make it work (or try to!)

Q: I want to do a few sites from different tours I see listed?

A: Not a problem! We offer custom itineraries to suit your interests and time. We can try to combine some tours to develop a tour that suits you. In some cases, a site may require a ticket (and they book out months in advance), or a vehicle to get there. Some aspects of a tour require a longer than expected time (you need at least an hour to see the Changing of the Guard at Arlington Cemetery).

Q: What happens if we arrive late to the tour?

A: Guides are booked for an additional hour than the scheduled tour time to ensure that late arrival does not mean a shorter tour.

Q: Can my children attend a tour without me?

A: While we do love having younger visitors join us, we do require they attend the tour with an adult.

Q: Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?

A: The show must go on! Our tours go out rain or shine. Dress appropriately for the conditions. We make every effort to provide a suitable alternative but there are few indoor options for our guides to tour.

Q: Will my kids like these tours?

A: That really depends on your kid. But generally all of our tours are suitable for children. Our tours are designed to be suitable for people of all ages. We do offer Adults Only versions of some tours to make it extra spooky or scandalous – just let us know!

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

Tours canceled up to 14 days prior to the scheduled start date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Tours canceled with less than 48 hours are nonrefundable. Tours unpaid 2 weeks or less before the tour are unconfirmed and subject to guide availability.

Q: Are your tours wheelchair/stroller accessible?

A: While we will do all we can to offer accessible tours, not every tour can accommodate wheelchairs or strollers. Please let us know while booking to ensure that we can make the route accessible.

Q: What is the minimum/maximum group size?

A: Our minimum is 1 and the maximum depends on the tour but we charge per guide rather than per person.
